Study on the simulation of annular axis braiding process and braiding angles’ prediction method

چکیده

A common braiding machine cannot perform continuous using closed annular axis mandrels. To solve this problem, a modified vertical was made to braid composite preforms with irregular cross-section The finite element method used simulate the process, and an efficient also derived predict angles. results show that predicted angles are basically consistent actual angles, at distinctive locations on braided preform recorded differences of up 10° or more than 30%. Braiding process simulation via can thus effectively vividly reflect yarn path preform. As such, be realized through projection surface flattening much better accuracy. It resolves difficult problem often faced in measuring corner mandrel provides solid basis for continued research performance its reinforcement.
